3D Printed Dr. Fate action figure
This is truly impressive, a fully jointed 3D printed figure. Think of the AF stuff that could be produced!!

Oh God yes!
Seriously, if we all club together we can surely buy a printer. Or we could rent one for a weekend. I personally have a list a mile long of 'bits' that could be printed off!

I'd hold off just yet. The plastic on 3D stuff comes out very rough, even when polished. Plus the plastic is brittle.
I'm sure they'll refine it soon, but as of now in hand quuality isn't as good as what we're all used to with stock figures.

What type of plastic does it use? And more importantly, what type(s) of plastic did Palitoy use?

3D printers use ABS or PLA, don't know about Palitoy.Hopper wrote:What type of plastic does it use? And more importantly, what type(s) of plastic did Palitoy use?

AFS, maybe you should have added "Linda Strauss Dr Fate" to the title, or whoever expecting a classic male Dr Fate will be kinda shocked by the Ame-Comi looks she evokes.

Yeah, who knew they had female Doctors? Shouldn't they be Doctresses?

Re: 3D Printed Dr. Fate action figure
When Kent Nelson was too old to keep being used as Nabu's vessel to be Dr Fate, Nabu sought young Eric Strauss and magically turned him adult to become the new Dr Fate. Then it turned that Dr Fate was more powerful as a fusion of a man and a woman, so Eric fused with Linda to become Dr Fate (just like with Firestorm, the process was reverted for civilian life). In emergency cases, Eric and Linda could still transform into separate male and female Drs Fate, and when Eric was killed in Apokolips, Linda became Dr Fate.
