I thought Avatar 3D was sh*t. I actually took my glasses off for the last hour and it hardly made any difference. 
I think they only do 3D to f*ck over pirates. And to further assrape punters. It's £16 in London to watch this sh*t now.

As a story, its been done to death. The effects were OK, I got free admission so it was good value for money for me. 
Does it deserve to topple Star Wars? Nope, just not that good. Still worth seeing tho, IMHO.

SPOILERS FOR THE PLOT OF CLASH HIGHLIGHT TO READ:
The plot's not the same. Perseus doesn't wind up with Andromeda. Calibos is actually Acriseus and Perseus was fathered by Zeus, disguised as Acriseus. Hades unleashes the Kraken as part of a plot to usurp Zeus by killing humans - weakening Zeus - and making humans fear Hades, giving Hades more strength. Perseus is determined not to be a god, but a man. Io acts as Miss Exposition. the Burgess Meredith character's absent.

I saw Avatar in 3D IMAX and the 3D effect was amazing, very immersive. Same the story was a pile of cack. Ferngully with guns.
Very excited abotu Clash, loved the original, not sure about them bolting 3D on though, doubt it will add much to it. Can't wait for Tron Legacy in 3D though.
Ticket prices don't usually bother me, I only go on Orange Wednesdays. I did pay £18 for me and the missus to see Avatar though as we couldn't get in on a Wednesday.

according to one guy on another forum i'm on, Clash is better in 2D. he saw it in 3D and thought it annoying, snuck into a 2D screening and watched the second half and said it was much better.
