We can have catergory nominations as well. Just seems like a nice way to build up the troops and flex the artistic muscles. I'd love to compare finished customs to see how similar/different the outcome would be. No previews should be given so each custom is totally independant.

New chr competition.
How about having a competion every month or so where there is a set challenge eg. make a
MP, an
medic, a Red Shadow frogman and so on.

I like that idea! My only worry would be finding the bits and getting it done in a month! Perhaps be as well to allow 2? Although no doubt Andy is now sat there saying "two months??? PAH!!! I could do and entire army in two months!!!"
You have to have in mind this is coming from the man who has been working on his Arctic Shadows for more than a year thus far!

Re: New chr competition.
I'd be up for a custom comp thing. I've run loads in the past and they've all gone great.
I'd say bi-monthly is good to start off with, maybe shortening it to a month after there's a hardcore following.
The best way I've seen it evolve on other boards is one person picks a subject, all the customizers do their entry, vote, and the winner picks the next subject.

I'm game, but am very busy at the minute. If one of you fine lads is happy to organise the affair I'll gladly take all the credit. PM me.

Re: New chr competition.
I don't mind organising it as long as everyone agrees to the rules. Obviously we all have to agree on them first.
Basically, the guy who picks the subject has to host the contest for that round (so they have to have an image hosting account - Photobucket etc). They outline their choice, post the email addy to send entries to, and add any special stipulations. Care must be taken to pick something that will have fun and appeal, so if your favourite character is really obscure/ unpopular, it might not be the best choice for a competition. So, you could choose simply Z force (any character belonging to Z Force), or something specialized, like Muton etc.
The host is responsible for posting all the pics and putting up the poll. Poll lasts for two days only.
All entrants for that round email their pics to the host.
To keep it exciting and not to play favourites, all pics should be on a plain white or grey background, and the customs themselves should not be shown to anyone, anywhere before you send them to that round's host. That also means you can't hint or tell folk which entry is yours.
No one can win two rounds consecutively - if one guy wins twice in a row, then the pick for the following contest will go to the runner up.
No customs can be posted if they have been shown before.
I think that's most of the core rules.
What do you guys think?
