Hi everyone!
Hi everyone!
Hi guys,
I've been visiting this site for quite a while now and got in touch with the baron and purchased the awesome 30th anniversary book. I was invited to join he forum so here I am!
This is the first forum that I have ever joined so please bear with me.
As a kid I loved action man and when Palitoy came out with the Action Force line, I was hooked. I remember picking up The Battle Action Force comic every week from issue 1. Loved the figures, especially Baron Ironblood and the Red Shadows. My favourite team being Q Force. This then progressed onto action force weekly and the gi joe line of toys.
As time went on and I grew up I passed many of my toys on to my younger brother and that's the last I saw of man of them.
Years on I became a collector or toys and comics, everything GI Joe, Star Wars, Transformers, MOTU and so on. Re collecting many of the toys I played with as a child.
For years I had a room dedicated to my hobby but then I had children of my own and less room and disposable income. Therefore my collecting took a back seat.
Now my children are older, my son who is 5 has just discovered Action Man and superheroes! And my hobby has been rekindled and I have started collecting again. Spending way too much time on eBay!
Action man and action force fill me with nostalgia. Taking me back to a more innocent care free time. Reading battle action force comics whilst munching on penny sweets and long summers of playing with action man in the garden with my little brother, good times.
So, that's me. Still a big kid at heart and loving it.
The Facebook page is awesome and I'm looking forward to the upcoming podcast.
Would love to attend a Roll Call convention in the future and meet up with some of you guys.
I am currently looking for any volumes of the action force colouring project if anyone has any spare?
See you in the Forums........

G'day, that's the age old story of the AF collector. Its easy to just sit with a figure and remember the golden old days.
Let me tell you, Gunner La-De-Dah Graham, the British Army can fight anything! Intimate or not!
Re: Hi everyone!
I have a small collection still, original issues of Battle Action Force, runs of the Action Force UK weekly and monthly comic, UK annuals and also some loose and carded figures.
Thanks to eBay my collection is growing quite steadily but due to space I do have to be quite selective now with collecting.
I used to have a lot of the vehicles as a kid but wouldn't have the room now to display them. I remember my favourites being the SAS jeep with Stalker, the Q Force boat and the Roboskull. Although if I came across these at a good price then I may not be able to resist!
I also have a few boxed GI Joe vehicles and quite a few loose original Joes.
I have also recently been going through my original vintage action man collection and have been buying some vintage and 40th anniversary commemorative bits from eBay. I used to have tanks, jeeps, motorbike and sidecar back in the day. My son who is 5 has also taken great interest in action man although I have mainly been getting him the more recent relaunch stuff with Doctor X etc.
Thanks for the welcome messages!

Re: Hi everyone!
Hey, welcome onboard! A new friend for us to play with!!!!
I like your intro story, sounds very familiar, except for a few small differences my life story is about the same as yours. If you added in cross dressing, bestiality, nipple tassels, being one half of conjoined twins, liking Pina Coladas and getting caught in the rain our lives would be identical
Have fun and keep collecting!!
