Terry Pratchett is good I was hoping they would do more Discworld films on SkyOne.

I haven't enjoyed a single adaptation, sadly. The books are excellent, Chopper, I recommend the Vimes books; Guards! Guards!, Men at Arms, Feet of Clay, Jingo, The Fifth Elephant, Night Watch, Thud! and Snuff.

Pratchett's ace. The BBC are developing a City Watch tv series with Pratchett and his daughter overseeing it. The Sky One adaptations are good, probably be repeated at Xmas again. I wasn't too keen on the Colour of Magic but the Going Postal adaptation is excellent and the Hogfather was really good too.

The Cosgrove Hall animated versions of Wyrd Sisters, Soul Music and Truckers were really good too but Wyrd Sisters and Soul Music had an odd style to them.

Really? I found Hogfather very laboured, it could have been half as long. I was disappointed. Good news about the TV show though!

I love Terry Pratchett's books. I was lucky enough to act as his chauffeur last year (for a journey of approximately 150 yards!) and he seems to be a genuinely lovely man. It happened to be Hogswatch day; I never thought I'd actually get to wish Terry Pratchett a Happy Hogswatch in person! He arrived in a minibus with an entourage of wizards and witches - just beyond cool.

I'll have to get me fingers on some of these Patchett Books, methinks. I'll watch the films over the break and report back.

For sword and sorcery I'd recommend

1) David Gemmell - Specifically the Drenai novels
2) Joe Abercrombie as the new up and coming king

As for Pratchett anything with Corporal Carrott or Rincewind is cry with laughter time
