Z Force Green

Post by Jimbo »

:zforce:

As I said on another topic, I use Humbrol Enamels to paint my latest additions to the Action Force line. However it doesn't work too well on the flexible plastic of the old figures themselves (it's fine on the GI Joe 'rigid' plastic), taking a fair few days to dry enough that your fingerprint doesn't form when you pick it up. Also, it still remains tacky for weeks afterwards, but eventually it gets there, and again the 'satin' effect closely resembles the original plastic finish.

So to experiment I pulled the head off the US Para, painted his body green and stuck a spare 'Tracker' head. I've got a couple of these, although I'm now using Chopper bodies, as they are ten-a-penny on EBay. Thus my section of Z Force Heavy Weapon Soldiers is nearly enough to man my Attack Cannons, Whirlwind Guns and the big chair gun on the Command Centre (if I ever get hold of a complete one that is).

The para head I painted red, stuck it on a mixed-up body and it'll be the first of a pair or so Combat Engineers to work for Tracker alongside Scout and the others in my Z Force Engineer Troop.

Pictures to follow........
