Storm Shadow's aunt

Post by DAMartin »

"Backstabbed", the comic issue packaged with the :storm: - :firefly: 2-pack, includes a part where :firefly: threathens to activate explosives he left at :storm: 's aunt house. Where did that aunt come from? Since most of the Arashikage family are ninjas and she's shown to be just an elderly housewife, I'd guess she's :storm: 's political aunt, married to Soft Master, whose affable attitude (at least when compared to Hard Master) would be a match for her.
Or I could be wrong and she could be a family member who, unlike her family, wasn't too keen to martial arts, like :scarlett: 's sister.

Larry Hama wrote a short lived series for DDP DA it was supposed to be in between his leaving the team and WWIII but some people think it will fit more at the end of WWIII. More Arashikages were introduced in that series.

Now that you mention the :storm: solo series, it briefly featured Adam, who first appeared as a boy in other pack-in comic, the one from the Scarface-Siegie 2-Pack "A day in the life of Springfield". So Hama didn't do those pack-in comics as mere throwaway issues (though he made the mistake of featuring Scarface, who was already dead at the chronological point of the issue)

And the numbering was wrong for that particular story. There was mention on one site there is a reason Scarface was alive and it was going to be revealed at a convention most likely because everyone who bought that pack thought wtf why is he still alive.

Well, he hasthe most plausible survival among the #19 deaths. :bludd: left him before the explosion and he could have escaped offscreen ( :flagg: , Kwinn and Dr Venom's deaths were more clearly shown).

Yeah the only way to make the Crimson Guard/Scarface Comic Pack work would be to renumber it as 13.5 or so. Right after Venom, Snake Eyes, and Kwinn are believed dead in the bunker.
