VAMP collection revisited

Post by volleydan »

One good thing about being home sick for the past two days is that I have finally been able to take pictures of some of my stuff. As some of you know, I have been working on trying to round up as many VAMP variations as I can from around the world. Here is what I have so far:

Image

Front row: VAMP, VAMP (shovel hood version), VAMP (25th), VAMP Mk II, VAMP Mk II (mail away), VAMP Mk II (Brazil version w/shovel on hood), Tiger Sting

Second Row: Dreadnok Stinger, Stinger (UK version/rubber wheels), Stinger, Stinger (mail away version), Rattler 4WD, SAS Panther, SAS Panther (yellow rollbars version)

Third Row: Funskool Police Jeep (light blue - sold in the Rescue Squad set), Funskool Police Jeep (dark blue, sold single packed), MRF Racing Jeep, Street Fighter Street Striker, 2007 Convention VAMP, 2003 TRU Vamp (sold w/Whirlwind, Desert Striker, Canadian MSV

Back row (boxed): Stinger (25th), Tiger Sting (UK Version), Revell VAMP Model

I knew I was missing one when I took the first pic. This one is the "regular" Funskool VAMP. Dig that funky bright green!
The mere fact that a flamethrower even exists is proof that someone once said to themselves: "You know, I'd like to set that guy over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough".

The Funskool green is pretty cool. I never knew there were more than one SAS Panther. Damn.

Nice collection mate.

Wow! That funskool one is almost Z Force green! Cracking collection Dan. Thanks for sharing.
When confronted by a difficult problem you can solve it more easily by reducing it to the question. How would the Lone Ranger handle this?

It's not nearly organized, but here is a photobucket album of random pictures I have taken of my collection:

It was from the 1998 Toys R Us exclusive/commemorative set. It's funny that you mention that particular picture, because after I took it I realized that I have two more uses of the MOBAT mold that I didn't get into that shot....the CAT II (from Kay-Bee toys circa 2003-ish) and the 25th anniversary one from the Ultimate Battle Pack.

That is one great collection of VAMPs but the rest of your collection also looks awesome :-) I guess we should visit you sometimes and see if a MOBAT is Small Blinds and a Defiant is the Big Blinds on that poker table
