after looking through my collection i was wondering what was other collectors favorites as we always ask which is hardest to find?
As i would have to go 1 US PARATROOPER AS THE AMOUNT OF EXTRAS YOU GOT AND YOU COULD CHUCK HIM AROUND
2 I WOULD HAVE TO SAY THE GERMAN GUY AS I COULD PUT HIM IN A REAL SCENARIO TO FIGHT EVERYONE AS HE WAS THE NATURAL BAD GUY
That is a tough one to answer, I'm tempted to say Space Engineer, but a lot of that came from not having one for a very long time.
I think I'll go for the original Ground Assault figure, good figure, well done weapon, nice paint job, good accessories and he was more affordable to me back in 1982 than the US Para was.
As a kid I was really into WWII. I read books like a maniac, could draw Spitfires, Shermans, Tigers and Stukas with my eyes closed. Drawing big battles that actually made sense. Looking at those pictures now, I am still surprised the amount of detail I put in it.
So it will not suprise you the first wave figures are my favourite. They just fitted my imagination perfectly. The vehicles? Well, err, I found them plain sh*te to say the least.
Then Z Force came along and I fell in love with the whole team. Didn't stop nagging my parents untill I had the team complete. And yes, Quarrel and Steeler! That articulation and posability of figures made me enter a new dimension. Nearly 33 now, but still love them both.
Still have all my original toys, never lost any accessory. In the meantime I have been able to purchase quite a lot to expand my collection, but my first figures are still the most special to me.
well, being in the states i never knew anything of action force as a kid. my fav fig in the US line of all time was v1 Cobra Commander, and i never had him as a kid. its the reason i got back into collecting.
i swear, i had dreams about finding this figure. anyway, because of that i found out about Red Laser. the coolest fig on the planet to me.
I liked the whole idea of the red shadows. They are my favorite ones. Next to them i would vote for the S.A.S. and in particuler for Hunter. He was one of my first Action Force Figures I got. Although is s.a.s signature did not withstand the test of time. It got rubbed away when I was a child.
That is such a tough question, Red Jackal totally rocks, as does Gaucho. I always had a soft spot for Dolphin, though, and I thorougly agree with Wheels getting a mention.
There's just oo many to choose from, it'd be easier to choose a least favourite.
