A bunch of newbie questions

Post by Macrossmaster »

Hi all, I'm relatively new, so I thought I'd "newb it up", and ask a few questions.

1. Is there a diagram of Action Force's base that we see for the first time in Operation Deep Cover? Also, was there a central base before this?

2. Is anyone interested in a doing a loose figure swap across the pond? (I.e. I send you joes, you send me old Palitoy AF figures.)

3. What's old AF figure availability like in the UK? I can get old Joes at several shops, somewhat cheaply. I've noticed carded examples of AF figures going for relatively cheap sums.

4. Is there a list of all of the Star Wars jointed figures? I am primarily interested in these.

5. Is the Action Force chain of command illustrated somewhere?

Thanks for reading! Now to endure the time-shift until you guys can read this! :)

MM

2. Yes, would like to swap figures
3. Pretty good on loose figures, tougher on complete ones. Some MOC go cheap, others are more deer.
4. Figure archive: http://www.bloodforthebaron.com/afonline/home.html

I'll exchange info with people who want to swap figures in PMs, but out of curiosity, what sorts of American-only items do British fans find desireable? I know over here that female repaints such as Quarrel, odd team repaints like Tiger Force Outback and others are very popular. Mainly repaints of American joes that could be new characters are desired. Personally I like the "Star Wars like" first 3 series. In my impatience to acquire Action Force figures, I fashioned a custom Z Force Captain last night out of a G.I. Joe Chief Torpedo with Flint head (new sculpts) and painted it. :)

Please write, I'm intensely curious about other Joe/AF collectors!

Hi Again mate,

Well l am not one of the Big AF collectors. I tend to use what l need & try to keep it a REAL Military, though the original AF did that too with GREAT credit to them.

So my collection is mainly of loose one`s either customized (more posable) or to be customized.
Vehicles, again more likely to get something Real, than m,ade up. So the likes of the SAS Panther jeep/Z jeeps,l do have & use as Cheeta Jeeps (made by Lamborgine (sp)).

I'm in the US too, so there are some of us. Anyone who has tried to build a Shadow army from Action Force lots probably has plenty of loose non-shadows. That is certainly my case. I have a drawer of loose (in varying conditions) that you're welcome to tap.

I also collect joes, but mostly as a way to expand my Action Force world. Since the Baron founded Cobra, there are of course Shadow/Cobra wars all the time.

Send me a PM if you'd like to trade.

In my trading with US I mainly focuss on 1982/83 stuff, because the other years were also widely available in Europe.
