Serpentor revealed

In IDW's now ongoing Cobra II series they are revealing Serpentor in #5 here he is.

Kind of reminds me of an idea I had once after watching the animated movie when ,Serpentor, being strangled by his cloak when Lt. Falcon jammed it into the intake on his chariot. Then proceeded to fly out of the Cobra-La royal Palace like a drunken airline pilot. I thought he managed to avoid the explosion caused by the B.E.T. which destroyed the Cobra-La Sanctuary, and survived his chariot's crash. Found by a group monks, he was taken to their temple, and restored to health. Also thanks to their teachings, and meditations during his convalescence, the Cobra Emperor, became a much more stable and reasonable individual. Still dedicated to world conquest, but was not prone to the reckless acts that ruined his efforts throughout the series.

Looking at these pics, I wonder if Serpentor shares an equal rank to the Commander in the IDW verse as one of these Counsels who have been mentioned off ,and on since IDW has picked up the torch for the series. Or else maybe, like mentioned by Buzz Dixon when Hasbro first showed him the sketches of Serpentor, and telling him that they originally wanted him to be the true leader of COBRA who'd been in the shadows all the time leading up to his unveiling. After Costa's take on Crystal Ball and Croc Master, I can't wait to see what's in store for him.

This new version of Cobra seems to have it's hands in all sorts of areas so who knows. One IDW board member said because Cobra was said to exist for years maybe Serpentor is the founder centuries ago and the new arc in #5 will detail this I think this issue is now out in June so we will know then. I am gutted that #4 is out in May now.

As far as I'm concerned Serpentor hates CC with a passion They would never get on or even fight along side each other-plus Serpentor formed the Coil so that he could usurp the Commander & eventually take over Cobra himself making OverLord his 2nd in command.
