This is kind of weird - the only MOC versions of this I have ever seen have the plain white legs but the camo torso. Mine from when i was a kid (loose) has that combo, and my MOC one has it too. Could it be that a lot of them were like that? And teh white ones are rarer?

Yes, I came across one of these variants unexpectedly a few years back. Didn't know about it and wasn't looking for it and I don't think I realised it was different when I first got it. Then when I realised it became a nice addition to the collection.
