New Aliens game,has any one played it yet?

Hi,
I'm a big fan of the film Aliens, as I suspect a few of us here are, & like the idea of playing @ being a colonial marine.. I'd like to get it but have read some mixed reviews, has any one here played it yet & if so would they recommend it or not?

havent played it but it looks great.

think i made the wrong choice goin for the wii.
dont get me wrong i love it and picked up call of duty (?) and SW force unleashed today and i'm a big nintendo fan but the xbox looks like the system for me.
may hit the missus for 1 for my birthday

I have this game and to say the atmosphere is spooky is an understatement. The first time a face hugger leapt on me I near sh*t myself. Reminds me a bit of Rescue on Fractalus when the alien leaps out, not sure if anyone here is old enough to remember that game tho

I did have the Aliens game for the Commodre 64, & I always loved the look of the orginal game on the Atari Jaguar ( never owned one, so never played it) & this does look like my sort of thing. But I'm a bit wary (short of cash) of buying games @ 1st release & @ full price, so I think I'll wait untill it's out on budget label or reduced in the sales...which these days seems like a couple of months.

The last PS3 game I purchased was Kill Zone 2, looks & sounds great, but it's not a very good game @ all...I'm playing it on "experienced" setting, but it's too (unfairly) hard, I mean, I can empty a whole machine gun magazine into a bad guys head @ zero range & all that happens is his helmet comes of his head as he kills me using a bayonet. I've completed most of the F.P.S. games I've owned on the hardest settings, but this ones a killer. I should of taken notice of the 2nd hand section I guess, you can usually tell a bad game 'cause its blocking up the "Pre-owned" shelves within the 1st week or so of release

I bought the slim yesterday and it had Aliens, uncharted and mirrors edge but told the guy to swap the uncharted and mirrors edge for modern warfare or I would buy some where else so yep I have it but not played it yet.

You may of missed out not getting Uncharted, just my taste in games but I really enjoyed the 1st Uncharted game immensely & will get the 2nd one when the price comes down, I've heard some good things about Mirrors Edge in all the "respected" games magazines too.

Robert who was at mem with me doesn't have them so I was more interested in cod so I could play him.
I am getting the hang of it but up to press he has the upper hand but I have only played a few times.

i still need to get mass effect 2, has anyone played that yet?
