Excellent work as always . . . you've just got to find space for it on your shelves!

Thank you guys, you are easily pleased!

I'm going to go into 'geek mode' now [SteveD will know what I mean...]

There were 3 issues with this box for me:

1 - The team photo on the side. It shows the prototype versions of S.W.S. yet the front has the later 'production' version of Bombardier. This is a contrast. I did think of doing a team shot to replace this with the later versions of the SWS force along with the vehicles. I went with the Palitoy original to keep the packaging as authentic [even though technically 'wrong'] as possible.

2 - Pic of Bombardier on the front left panel. I did it like this, instead of the usual 2 x close up pics of the vehicle, following the German approach to packaging where they have the figure on their own.

3 - The logo. I used the same logo that The Baron uses in the archive. I 'personally' think the logo is probably wrong but I've used that logo for my 5 custom moc's so stayed with it for continuity.

I think the logo probably should have 'S.W.S.' in it like that used on the vehicles, like pic below.

Its interesting that most on here refer to this team as Special Weapons Force when that is clearly wrong with all the vehicles having S.W.S. on them. Personally, I think they were called Special Weapons Service, following the S.A.S. moniker but that is purely an assumption. I've spoken with Indy Tree and no one knows. The Palitoy guys where Dave got the crucial photos from simply don't remember....

Like I said, I've been in 'geek mode'. I'll try and snap out of it now.

And, Andy, aside from boxing up the other 2 S.W.S. vehicles, I have no plans to do any more boxes for the time being. They take up SO much time in the making and I've a lot on in work over coming months. Work sadly gets in the way of geek-dom....

A lot of Palitoy packaging showed prototypes instead of production figures, I think the innaccuracy adds a nice touch of realism ?
