Happy Australia day

Post by Chopper »

Time to fire up the barby, sink a few tinnies and get into the vegemite sandwiches. Which, realistically, is the same as yesterday. ;-) This day commemorates the arrival of the first fleet in Australia and its a public holiday, BONZA.

HAPPY AUSSIE DAY chaps.

Well the first fleet did arrive with convicts on board. ;-) As for work, f*ck it, I need a break and today is official bludger day. BBQ is ready and the beer is chilled. 27 degrees today and not much cloud, perfect arvo for backyard cricket.

To quote Al Bundy;

Al: See, this is a holiday for the working guy. Celebrates all the people who work, so that all of the people who don't get to live longer and have more than he does. So, tomorrow, unless God willing I die in my sleep, I get up for me, and celebrate for me. Tomorrow, is Al Bun-Day.

Its the Tuesday, Monkfish. So you can have a can or two more ;-)

Its terrible being stuck here, weather is an awful 27 degrees, beaches are full of half naked Sheila's, beer is cold and the BBQ is working overtime. Been kicking the football (Rugby union that is) around the backyard and enjoying the sunshine. Perfect for a change ;-)

Remember Ironblood, most Aussies are descended from Pom's. Tho there is a big difference between NZ and OZ's first settlers. The first people to settle NZ wanted to be there, by choice. Aussies just happened to strike it lucky as the locals didn't eat them so readily.

Happy Oz day mate, have a cool beer for me.

It sounds about 27 degrees too hot for me...today's a balmy zero degrees here in the Cambridgeshire Fens, so the local Sheila's are only half dressed.
More news, as its made, from new Action Force!
