A big Thank you and an apology

Post by humby248 »

Firstly I would like to say thank you to the Baron and his helpers for this great website. I am really enjoying my time on here. Secondly I would like to say thank you to everyone who has traded with me and has sent me stuff to help my collection and customs and the nice comments on them.
Thirdly is an apology. Due to some bad luck and a nightmare house I am having to scale back to wave 2 and am selling off the wave 3 on ebay. I would have much preffered to offer the stuuf up for trade with the members but financial issues prevents me from this. I would also like to apologise if any of my comments have ever pissed anyone off, the intention was never there.
Finally I am looking forward to see how this website moves forward and the results it brings.

Sorry to hear of the circumstances for the sale. I'll be watching the auctions with great interest as I'm just starting my Wave 3 collection. When do you plan on listing?

It was either this or the boxed Palitoy Death Star and as thats about one of the only boxed Star Wars things I have it had to be wave 3 I am afraid. When I am back to full strength I am hopefully going to try to get wave 1 & 2 loose complete.

Like pruning in the garden mate - sometimes you got to cut back to flourish. This hobby of ours is just that, a hobby, and sometimes life sh*t gets in the way. Best of luck with the auctions - I'll be having a go at a few bits. And when other things are sorted get collecting our straight limbed chums!

I know when I made the call to sell off some of my mib items I was a bit gutted. But now I'm enjoying the less cluttered look in the toy room!

Cheers mate. It was your post saying that you only collect up to wave 2 that helped me make the decision. A few bits of the wave 3 are from later on in my childhood but it is the wave 1 & 2 that really hold the magic for me.
I will post a link asap

Sorry to hear you have to cut back but ive been there and think a lot of us have with any collection - as Steve said a little pruning here and there is usually the natural course of things.

PS got the stinger today thanks - your bits should be with you soon.
