The gun issued to all SAS parachute assaulters is in fact supposed to be the U.S. M3a1.This was the best silenced smg during the late 60's and used by both Seals & USSF's in Vietnam. Its .45calibre slug has far better stopping power than 9mm IMO.
Hope this info helps.
I know Quickfire had a Tommy Gun that was used in WWII, but wasn't the Grease Gun that came with Sparrowhawk also used in WWII? I know the Action Force American Paratrooper had the same gun and he was based on a WWII US para wasn't he?
I'm not decrying the Grease Gun for being an old weapon, sometimes the old guns are the best, I mean weren't the Afghans still using old Britsh Lee Enfield bolt action rifles to fight the Soviets back in the 80s? Also the infamous AK-47 was first produced not long after the Grease Gun.
Even as a kid I found it funny that Action Force were equipped with a strange mix of weapons, from WWII era Bazookas, Tommy Guns, Sten Guns and Grease Guns, up to M60 machine guns, AK-47s, UZIs and SLRs, to the blue Space UZI and red Aqua AK-47, and strangest of all those blue laser rifle that Space Force used, I know they were just blue versions of the GI Joe Flash's gun, but where the heck did the design for that weapon come from? All t'other guns were based on real weapons (even if some were WWII era) but where did that laser rifle come from?
