Has anyone got the 2nd edition Ultimate guide ?

Post by Andy1672 »

I recently bought the 2nd edition of the ultimate guide to Gi Joe.

The pictures etc are greatly improved as are figure descriptions etc ....

however my copy has no AtoZ index !!!!!

Have I got a duff version ? 304 pages ?

seems to be a total waste of time as I find myself refering to the 1st edition if i need to look for a figure, either that or flick through the 2nd edition page by page !

I know there is another thread somewhere concerning these books but I couldnt find it.

What are in these books are they just price guides or full of factfiles?

The books contain every figure and vehicle released from 1982 to 1994.

each figure/vehicle is pictured with accessories etc and known variations. it also contains price guides in us dollars.

heres a couple of sample pages.......

Not bad I saw them over the years on Amazon and other sites but wasn't sure about picking one up. Thanks Andy for showing the pics.

I've got the 1st edition, is it worth the expense of buying the 2nd?, do you get more/or better pictures..or just an up to date value guide?

I intended getting the 2nd edition to replace the 1st edition but the missing index means i need to keep the 1at edition too !!

2nd edition is far superior picture wise tho ....

andy i got the 2nd edition the other week to help me identify the Joe figures and was hoping the AF articulated figures would be in it but they weren't i was well pissed off, plus they don't even mention that half the vehicles on the Joe line originated from the Palitoy models, anyway back to your question no im afraid there is no index whatsoever which is a bit pants.

should i scan the book for you save you buying it :. .....that might be a bit naughty actualy
