Some thoughts?

Post by Hopper »

Afternoon all!

More work avoidance follows!

Just going over some of the old threads, wants list, comments, etc. One theme constantly recurs - we all have bits of men and machinery missing. And we all have a hope of getting them, despite the prices.

For example, i have Z Force Shaft with 3 broken leg struts. Now, I have to wait until they come up for auction (and scrabble around with everyone else, paying large amounts, with a lot of extra hassle) or i have to buy a whole one (and scrabble around...).

My point, if i have one, is 2 fold.

1) Why dont we start a Baron's Multicoloured Swapshop (see SteveD's posting in the Variant/Bodypart thread), where we all list our spare bits along with Price, Swap, or Free to a good home, and our wants (small pieces, rather than figures, whole vehicles, etc.). We could all be sitting on exactly what the other person needs.

2) Who actually owns the rights to the Action Force mouldings? And, depending on the answer, how hard would it really be to take a cast of a small machine part, and mould our own damn leg struts from spare plastic (spare :muton: anyone?). I'm not sure that it would be that hard - melting (but not burning) plastic, pouring it, cooling it, and voila!

Just some thoughts for a miserable monday afternoon in the vain hope that the project i am working on will be done when i finish typing this!

Alas, no

Cheers

SteveD is doing exactly that, mate.

And as long as we don't call it The Baron's Multicoloured Swapshop then it's fine with me!

Crom, I have never prayed to you before. I have no tongue for it. No one, not even you, will remember if we were good men or bad. Why we fought, or why we died. All that matters is that two stood against many. That's what's important! Valor pleases you, Crom... so grant me one request. Grant me revenge! And if you do not listen, then to HELL with you! -Conan the Cimmerian

Kraken's net (i had it, but the frigging Action Force gnomes stole it)
SAS Panther - single can of petrol (again with the gnomes)
SAS Boat Patrol - paddle
Z force infantryman - backpack (x2)
Sapce force engineer - all his bits
Any of the little blue pistols the Commander figure and others come with

As well as the usual host of things!

God, it's depressing!
