Other people's toys (and stuff)

Post by AnnieM »

Today Eddie and I went to Montacute near Yeovil to see the Radio, TV and Toy museum

All the toys are linked to radio/tv shows - no Action Force - but there's loads to keep you amused for a good hour

Image
annuals galore -this guy has thousands

Image
if you assemble it right it's actually stronger than the original sets

Image
sorry about the sideways shot.

Image
figures galore

Image
Terrahawks MOC

Image
TNG playset

Image
from the days when every show had a boardgame rather than a website. Beedi-beedi-beep!

Image
PotA figures, and below some Space1999 merch

Image
really bad shot of Robocop figure, stuck with all the Dr Who stuff

Image
Happy Days pinball and a dead dummy

Image
Loveboat game and action figures. Whatever possessed someone to make figures for this show?

Image
plenty of memorabilia from your favourite Saturday tea-time shows

Image
he has a fair bit of A-Team

Image
more A-Team

Image
mum, mum - I want a Duke of Hazzard Spiral Pinball for Christmas!

Image
I am a little bit in love with the CHiPS toys

Image
I like your shiny helmet

Image
Starsky and Hutch shooting range - estimated lifespan in hands of child: seven minutes

Image
it's all good...

Image
...but not in any particular order

Image
Dallas aftershave - for the dad who wants for nothing (and gets it)

Image
I loved Bravestarr

Image
Real Ghostbusters

Image
more mixed merch

Image
heaven help us

Hello Playmates!
On touching the trig point, I found my thrill
To the east Brokeback Mountain, to the west, Benny Hill
I'll give you the grid ref, you might like to go

There's a lot of stuff I didn't even know that existed! (and knowing is half the nostalgia)

If anyones passing by Stansted Airport, visit "The House On The Hill" toy museum, it's the largest privately owned toy museum in europe, & a nice afternoon out..

Maybe the Love Boat figures were a limited run, and that's why we haven't heard about them before and Andy doesn't have any.
