Re: new room.
IIRC, Eddie had some horrible encounters in Ikea
Re: new room.
They're not cheap Eddie but I went with these:-

Three of the sods. They come with lights, full glass doors so not wood in the way of the goodies, mirrored backs so the armies just go on and on, and aren't too bad to put together.

They've filled out a bit more since those shots were taken. So much for the "less is more"
They are cheaper and come with more shelves if you get the darker brown ones, but you dont get the mirrored backs (and they didn't do them at all when I got mine!).
I'm trying to slowly introduce the idea of "one or two" more so i can invade the study and put my toy cars on display!
They aren't wide enough to take Skystrikers, Rattlers or Hovercrafts etc though.

Re: new room.
my ikea experience was not a good one. All we wanted was a chest of drawers, went in went up into the display bit walked around chose said chest of drawers all was well, then we tried to find the warehouse part, went down in the lift due to no escalater (only the going up one available) got no where so we went back up the escalater and then back down in the lift, then back up the escalater and then back down in the lift, we ended up walking through the wrong way back through the checkout area, got to where the chest of drawers were meant to be after having a fight over a useable trolley to find that they had run out! I f*cking hate ikea now it upsets me. Anyway, thanks steve for the link thats given me something to look at thats not ikea.Shaunyboy wrote:Please enlighten the rest of us Baron? For my vehicles I just use racking.

Re: new room.
keep an eye out for shops/businesses etc going out of business or being refurbished.
i got my cabinets from a solicitors that was being refurbished. they where just going to dump them so i spoke to the workmen who gave me them for free and even delivered them for £20. all they needed was a lick of paint.
