My repaired guys

Post by Chopper »

These are not customs as such, but all are built up from different sources. Falcon, Iceberg and Zandar where figures I Frankensteined as a kid, so I put them back together. Airborne and Slipstream were from the Baron, both have new limbs tho Airborne still needs a new crotch (he's damned cool). Tomax, Xamot and Tunnel Rat were from a job lot I got off ebay last year. Red Wolf was from The Kraken, Law and Countdown were from Paul and Sci-fi, Zartan and Windmill were from Andy.

None of them were complete figures, but I scoured ebay and found the bits to bring them back to there former glory. The Twins are undergoing repaints atm. Windmill I had to repair because he looks so much like a Draconian pilot and Sci-fi just needed a rubber tube but he's got to be the coolest example of a fluro green figure I've ever seen. Just love that guy.

My Son has had to take Zartan every night since he got his new limbs, he wants to drag off all the Dreadnoks too. He's got more figures on his dresser these days than I have on my shelf. I had to stop him taking Stormie V1 as his limbs were starting to loosen. My son was a bit upset but he's still got Beachhead, Quickkick and Snake Eyes to drag along and he does understand. Stormie is the coolest in his opinion.

There are a few more to post but they have been customised and are later stories ;) Thanks to all the guys above and SteveD for supplying Zartan's Chameleon bits and other important figure acc's. Cheers fellers.

Very cool Chopper! It's hard work trying to complete figures so hats off to you. There is always a temptation to just go and buy a whole new one from eBay or wherever, but why should you? A lot of people have told me to give up on certain items over the years, now I have nearly all of them.
I have several figures in my collection that were bought for me as a kid by the bank of Mum and Dad! They will never be traded and needed to be completed bit by bit.
You may have seen a thread by me about how Andy helped me to complete my Zartan after years and years of waiting!
If you have a list of parts you need, post it up and I will try to help you.

My Zartan is ex Andy too ;) Great job on yours btw. Some of these chaps will never be traded, same reason as yours. In fact with the amount of hunting I've had to do to complete these guys I wouldn't be keen to trade any of them.

I reckon I should change my name to Doc - do no harm. I nearly stripped out Duke (need his left arm and crotch) and Airborne but saw reason. They deserve to be complete again.

I posted my wants and haves in the Barons sticky limbs thread ;) Likewise too mate, there's a list there of bits I have to trade have a look. I do have a few other bits holding figures together but might part with them if they were needed to complete figures.

Top drawer stuff Chopper!
It's always good to see someone who spends time to repair & restore toys, it shows they really care about the things they're interested in.
More news, as its made, from new Action Force!
