A slightly complicated recipe, but essentially the base figure is almost white (Snow Job)

Fully articulated 25th style Baron Ironblood, with a swappable head

OK, full recipe...

Base figure Snow Job

Remove the skirt and then shave off the belt and pouches.

Remove the belts and detailings from the upper torso. Use a stanley knife at 90 degrees to scrape the cut areas flat.

Trim the inside of the upper torso to allow extra space for the red paint to avoid paint rub on later articulation.

Remove legs below knees.

The head and boots are from Grand Moff Tarkin.

Remove holster and left thigh pouch.

Glue the skirt back on.

Milliput: - around boot tops, waist (to create a smooth tunic) and forearm sleeves.

The helmet is custom made from a pen top. No easy recipe for that.

Then paint!

I have ideas for Muton coming together and possibly Kraken.

The head (maskless) will hopefully be fitted onto a suited body. Does anyone remember the cravat and cotton suit from 'Born in Blood'? Might try and make that body as well.

Oh, should have added that my original plan was to cut the vintage Ironblood arms off at the elbow, dremel a hemisphere and a small hole and then swap Snow Job's arms. However I decided to just go the whole hog!

With Kamakura, Footloose and Ironblood I've found that sanding the figure over pre painting and using several thinned layers of base colour rather than one has very much eliminated paint rub!

only wanted the arms for a future 25th custom.
i have a totally different reciepe for my Baron but may need to rethink this.
i think this is my favourite of all your customs. keep em coming.

wow, this is f@#kin awesome man! this puts my baron to shame.
great idea, great sculpting, great paint job, VERY traditional looking baron, perfect!
i was thinking about a kraken, i was going to make it a bit less human, as in he would be bulkier & a bit more monster like!
will post my kraken "cannon fodder" strip soon........
