I enjoyed part 1. I haven't had time yet for part 2, but I will read it.

I liked the realistic route you took, and it read to me like I'd expect a film synopsis to look.

Very enjoyable.

I can also tell you are used to writing fan fic as well - theres a good quality to it's presentation and construction!

malcolm: i tend to visualise what i'm writing in my head, like a movie, so yeah, it would seem like a film, LOL. i have a very visual imagination. and, yes, i have written a shitload of Trek fan-fic, but this is different because i'm doing a reboot and basically can do practically anything. in most of my Trek fan-fic i had to avoid doing anything truly galaxy shattering.
