mixed box

Amazing vehicle!
Gi Joe on the front, Action Force on the back and released in 1991?
I was under the impression they dropped the A.F logo a year or two before.

well, it does say 'over layed labels' in the description, so i'd guess that one fell off...

They dropped it in 1989. If it wasn't for the fact it was a completely crap toy......

looks like Takara text there too. A real mixed bag.

Product development is done a few years in advance, so the two year gap can easily be explained. Probabely meant to be European Action Force toy, but then (due to lack of sales?) it was decided not to launch. Restickered box to enable toy to be sold in Japanese market.

Regarding the auction: very good box my ass! A while ago I bought one of these MISB, absolute presteen box with original cellotape for 5 euros. It is a rather crappy toy, but for that price I simply couldn't resist boosting my MIB/MOC collection. Funny thing is that I am not a MIB/MOC collector! ;)

I'm pleased it's not just me that does that! I AM a MIB/MOC collector, but am NOT a loose collector.

I just got sidetracked a few years ago by "one or two to fill out the childhood collection" that were "too cheap not to". The rest is history.

judging from the confusion:
can I please clarify a few things

as the ebay seller states the overlayered stickered labels are in Chinese,
this toy was sold in China in the mid 90s, and I presume to save costs or recoup overstock from the european market, they just plastered a sticky on the old boxes.
Other China vehicle releases in the same series -also used overlalyered stickers (e.g. Ninja Lightening, Eco Striker), but previous vehicle releases had China dedicated packaging.

It is not Japanese text (btw Takara is also a Japanese toy company).
funnily enough there was so much over stock , we got loads of these back into the UK!

I cant explain the Hasbro european AF logos on the back though.
