Had a great time with my ISP last night there was some fault or other with the broadband so I called the fault in (Twice). The first time I got no where , the second time I spoke to two different blokes. The second of which had me unscrewing telephone points and all sorts and after an hour and twenty minutes said that he couldn't help that it was a BT fault!!!! I sure I was being recorded for candid camera. Then to end the conversation he finished with "have a wonderful evening". Which kinda left my jaw dropping a bit. Thankfully its working now.

I felt a very similar way when speaking to EDF Energy the other night - when the woman on the end of the phone declared that we had never used any electric in the two years we have lived in our home. Wonder what we've been paying for, then? Eh?

i get bad cable signal where i live, every now & then the screen goes blank with "bad signal" in the corner, tried complaining but seems like it's just tough luck!
bastards keep not sending me a bill then disconnecting me!

I paid the flat next doors electricity bill for five years once! Then got a huge rebate check, which they assured us we were due to, which me and my flatmate at the time spent on a massive bender and a day at York Races. And then a aweek later got a huge bill through!

Similar to Annie - I once had Yorkshire water estimate that in a year at my old place I would have used no water in the first six months, and when I queried it they upped the estimate to 1 unit. Cheeky swines suggesting I dont bathe????

Well the wee woman from the Tiscali call centre in India called today to see if I was still having a problem...... She was left a bit stunned by the end of the conversation, I was on the range in charge of the target marking gallery (Butts Officer, all yours Steve). My lot had rounds coming in over my head (crack thump) and the Army on the next range were carrying out a Lebanese unload with their GMPG's. See asked what the noise was told her gunfire and she paused for a moment, then carried on with her standard speil. She carried on for a moment and asked again what the noise was, told her I had rounds coming in over head and that I was a bit busy and couldn't really hear her properly then after a further silence she asked if she could call back when I wasn't busy! God bless them!

I am with tiscalli as well and trying to talk to them is a bloody nuisance!
I explained to them I wanted a mac code in jan as 02 was only £7.68ish p.m. and that I didn't want to pay £17.99 so they said I could have my first 3 months free of a new contract and then it is £7.98 p.m. so rather than messing about I said ok.

Start of this month they took the £17.99 out again so I cancelled my direct debit while I was changing to my other bank account where I get dole dosser money into which I had informed them.
They have now turned off my internet until I sort the direct debit out to my new account even though I am still in the 3 months free period and they owe me £17.99 F***wits!

Paul, that is priceless. I used to plug in the guitar and play death metal when the JW's knocked on the door of my old flat, but this is FAR better.

I assume that BT owns the UK's comm's infrastructure, in much the same way as Telstra owns the bulk of Australia's? A left over from the days of government ownership, they STILL have a Govt dept mentality, i.e. hopeless. Bastards are keeping this country in the dark ages. I went with Optus Cable because it got me off Telstra's dodgy network and I don't have to pay those Socialist relics a penny.

Funny story Telstra keep sending people round to my door to solicit business, I told the last guy he's got 3 seconds to piss off and to tell his mates. I rang his supervisor and told him I'd harm the next prick who called and/or rang. He then asked me who my provider was. I told him Optus, he then asked if I was happy my money was going off shore. Boy did that help his cause. I pointed out that only a fraction goes off shore (Singapore in this case) and that his call centre was in India, also the the last 3 guys knocking on my door where Indian. Told him where to stick his Hypocritical..... Then he asked if I was racist, to which I replied that I work for Indians and to f*ck off and get a real job. Its amazing how a Govt stigma can survive after privatisation (pffft yeah, right). Unfortunately the pricks are still the regulators over here. f*ck I hate Telstra.
