Carlsberg didn't do 80's competitions....

Post by SteveD »

...but if they did....

I was looking back through my old BAF's for a few bits and pieces and found this. Unfortunately the closing date is roughly 24 years ago, otherwise I'd be getting my entry in!

Actually, now I think on, I've still got a box of Britains tractors somewhere (I grew up in the country!)

I always thought those toy tractors were crap. I grew up in the sticks too and have no aspirations to be a farmer.

One of the model shops here sells loads of tractors. The ever friendly George (grumpiest man on earth!) tells me hehas loads of blokes in buying them. Whatever floats your boat.

i know what you mean baron i grew up in farmerland, a place where people who lived more than two miles away were referred to as 'them big city folk'. If you weren't related to everyone in the village you were an outsider!

I spent most of my childhood playing on farms, in the sort of stylee that you used to see in those public information films "Farms Mean DANGER!" or somesuch.
