AF-editon Command Centre

I'm just working on the master list for the toy archive, does anybody know if the AF-edition Command Centre came with any figures, please? Does anyoby have any pictures of ethis version, or was it identical to the Z Force release?

I always assumed they came without figures, but this box pic looks to have Gung-Ho supplied. I notice the flag still has the old teams on it.

I noticed that too, but more evidence of "prototypes" on that, so I'd not read too much into it - Triad looks to have black guns etc instead of blue.

That can't be a protoype Triad, it's the one released after the Space Force edition.

I know, I guess I used the word protype incorrectly - but it certainly has black boosters and things, and more black on the stickers than the Space Force one, or the actual released one. I think someone had a marker pen and got bored.

I'm not as knowledgeable as a lot of the blokes around here on the subject. But I could swear I read somewhere that it came with Gung-ho and Stalker. Which would seem sensible to me as the Z came with Gaucho and Jammer.

They could well have been supplied with them.

I remember mentioning to a guy on ebay about 4 years ago that he was selling the wrong figures with his base but he was adamant that they were the ones supplied.

I have no authority on this at all, but it is my personal view that this never went into production.

I never saw this AF version for sale as a kid and have never seen it anywhere else since.

I belive it was printed in the brochures/packaging but that was all [and even then in the packaging it is a Z Force base].

The toy when sold was just unsold over-production from the Series 2 Z Force days.

I'm practically certain there was never an AF-boxed version with Gung-ho/Stalker.

Could be completely wrong of course! Aire may have six of these...

Now, I can remember seeing one on the top shelf of Toymaster in Ripon on me holidays, next to a Hovercraft and Skystriker.

But I realise that's not much use, as I've no idea whether it was re-stickered Z Force box, or anything else.

If it's of any use for the archive Baron that day I ended up buying the CLAW, and my brother got Zartan. he made the best choice, as my CLAW broke a wheel off before the week was out, whereas hours of fun were had putting Zartan into the sunlight and then dipping him into a cool glass of Umbongo, whilst to this day I still think of the CLAW as a flimsy piece of crap!
