Hey All....
Just joined up, not sure if I know any of you or not, but am found on a fair few Star Wars forums.
Was heavily into Action Force as a kid, and although I don't really collect as such now, I'm still heavily involved with them through collecting Star Wars and researching a lot of Palitoy company history.
Hope to make some really great new friends here, learn and have a fair amount to share too at the same time, hopefully somethings that have never really been seen by soem of the members here.
Dave.

Re: Hey All....
Thanks Baron
well have been doing a lot of research on Palitoy for some time now, and although the focus of the research has mostly been Star Wars based, there is quite often a lot of crossovers with Action Force.
Last year I ran a toy exhibition of all the Palitoy produced Star Wars toys at the Lucasfilm Celebration Europe event that was held at the London Excell. There are some great images here:
http://www.mintinbox.net/reportages/sta ... po_palitoy
Since then have worked on several projects, including old Palitoy Star Wars adverts, but also have begun the groundwork for a book too. As the research has progressed, I've been thinking of an Action Force one down the line as the former ex-employee contacts made, paperwork and the material found often overlaps.
One of the coolest things to discover of recent was some pre-production stuff, which included a figure I've never seen before. It was esstentially a repaint, but was labelled up as a scientist, which was really cool.
I'll dig out some pictures, but hopefully along with all the research I'm hoping there is a lot of knowledge here that can help, or bounce ideas off, and equally, there'll be the odd thing I've found that might be of interest here

I'm sure we'd love to help, and would like to see anything you have to share.
Did you get in touch with Lindy Pine? She was a former Palitoy employee who posted on here a year or so ago.

No, I haven't, hvae managed to get in touch with a few, including a former marketiing manager who helped with the launch, but hopefully might be able to re-establish contact with her through here then
I'm at work, so do not have access to most of my stuff, but I have managed to find a picture of the scientist, which am just uploading now.
Dave.

In all teh research with that, there's been a lot of crossovers with other Palitoy product lines.
Ok, perhaps not as cool as an unreleased SAS character, but here he is, Special Weapons Scientist "Boffin"
Sadly under the conditions of what it is kept within, I was unable to take him out of the bag, however, pretty cool to see nonetheless. I'm hoping there might be plenty more interesting bits too, but it will take several visits before it is all fully catalogued at what exactly there is there.
enjoy,
Dave:

Well, that is just superb!
a completely unknown, unreleased character!
Dave, a million thank-you's!
Now, where on earth does this fit in?
Series 1, or one of the 4 Forces?
I'll have to get a custom made. The usual torso, head and arms, but who are the legs from? Any ideas?
