very pricey storm shadow!

Anyone surprised at how much this went for?

I was planning on bidding thirty big ones for it and hoped that I'd win....

Not really that surprised.
A lot of the early carded figures go for quite a bit.
Regularly see the carded "Snake Eyes" at buy it now for around the £400 mark!
Considering that a complete loose Stormy averages the £25 mark, a minty white carded one would reach these crazy heights.

Carded figures are way more popular in the US than in the UK, and that is definately a very unblemished Storm Shadow lurking within

Mein gott in himmel . How much? Still I hate MOC as I feel guilty opening the buggers. As the comic book guy says - "You have opened it, now it is worth nothing".

Actually I bought a couple of cheapies on ebay just to repair. I hate broken stuff.

Oh man, that GI Joe Storm Shadow is insane!

to put it into perspective I paid two hundred dollars for mine, two years or so ago when you got two dollars to the pound. So about hundred quid. Expensive then, and still a lot now. I think that one that just sold at 130 would be about right. At about the same time as getting my stormshadow I also, however, bought some Halifax shares......

Should have sunk the money into red shadows!!!
When confronted by a difficult problem you can solve it more easily by reducing it to the question. How would the Lone Ranger handle this?

I was bidding on this but was blown out of the water at the £50 mark - was also surprised how much it went for, especially since last year there was a MOC AF Cobra Commander which went for around the $60 mark. Missed out on that one aswell, which I was really gutted about, but thought that collecting MOC AF figures would be a doddle and inexpensive, little did i know.................
