Now the sucky part it.......................its in arabic? or Kurdish? or both and NOT English and that truly sucks as from what I have seen it looks quite good ( theres some art pages that suck yes but most of it looks rather good). Very realistic too some of it rather disturbing.
Heres the good part though
The series is hosted at http://abtalaliraq.com/. The site is entirely in Arabic, which may prove a challenge for navigating. If you click on the little bit of text beneath the cover shot, then click on any of the bits of text on the next screen in that same center box, it will bring you directly into the 10th issue and you can browse around. There are also some archives so you can look at old issues.
Man what I would give to get this in english. I wonder why it hasnt. I think there would be a lot of interest in this book outside of Iraq. What has kept them from doing it so far I dont know but it wouldnt be that hard to do I would think. I mean heck if we can do the Best of Collection Books and the RED DAWN book then Im sure they could do it.
They already are on issue 15 with a definate 16-27 coming up as its a US DOD funded contract so all they would have to do is translate it into english ( which Im sure already has been done) and put it on the paper and then get send it off to the publisher. NOT that hard
might make them some profit too in the whole process, return the money to the American Tax payers who are fronting that ( which includes ME)
It be nice to see another side of things ,as from what I understand, its being done in IRAQ
