Congratulations!!

I remember my first Minesweeper, I bid like a mofo on eBay and got him for close to £80 - OUCH!!

Less than a week later I won a second one for £15.

:scout: I'm special!

As my dear mother does say - 'Goodness Me!'

Eighty biggies for a minesweeper!!

Was that just a rush of blood to the head and a freak bidding war or did these fellas actually go for that price once upon a long ago?

If so, then the price of our beloved AF has seriously plummeted over recent years....

I suppose that's a bit of mixed blessings really..... great to buy, crap to sell.

It was about five years ago, when they were few and far between and I was an ebay noob - it was probably me paying such a stupid amount that triggered the market flood. Actually, I may be off in my memory, I don't think I would ever had bid that high... perhaps it was £60, nonetheless, it was far too much money! Thankfully it was softened by the subsequent bargain.

You're right about being an ebay newbee. I got caught up in that bidding frenzy on that APC a few months ago! Thank god I didn't win it. I bid better now though, thanks to the posts on here!

I thought that that was a nice wee lot of Z Force though. Well done on completing your loose collection.

Cheers

When confronted by a difficult problem you can solve it more easily by reducing it to the question. How would the Lone Ranger handle this?

We all get a bit excited at times - I needed Ton Up and grey Dolphin to complete my collection, and saw a Ton Up in an auction on the 'Bay.

Wound up offering the guy £50 for the Ton Up to pull the Auction and sell me just that one figure. Needless to say he had my hand off, and I had egg on my face a few weeks later as a glut of them came on the market in a short space of time (he even charged me two quid postage!).

I frantically kept buying them for a few quid a time as in my mind I kept getting bargains. In reality I was a muppet who'd just got paid and paid well over the odds!

I guess that made me a Bullseye down for me Ton Up!! (bit of Cockney Rhyming slang for you there!)

Is there much difference between Ton Up and Rock N Roll? I never had Ton Up as a kid, I just assumed later he was the same as Rock N Roll mark 1. How different is Ton Up?

The same I think. No discernible differences I can see. Quite a good beard though.

Had a similar dilema before, found what I thought was a Ton Up figure in a large lot.

If you also check out ..................http://www.yojoe.com/action/83/rocknroll1p5.shtml

It says that he was released as Ton Up over here.
I found that the only difference I could spot was the bandolier on his chest was more gold in colour.
