Hey All,

Post by Jonnyred »

Well i've been reading this site for a while now, absolutley love it!

I was going to go to my dads this weekend and clear out some old stuff, including lots of AF that me and my little brother have, and stick it on ebay, but after spending some time on here i don't know what to do!

Do i keep it, knowing full well that it's spent the last 20 odd years in the loft gathering dust, or do i sell it and give away a piece of my childhood?

PS Absolutley loved the pic of the Z Foce soldier MIA after 21 years! Did he ever get down? :D

I sold a load of my childhood Lego a few years ago, and I regret it now. I made a bit of dosh, I spent the dosh, and the toys were gone forever.

My advice is to go home, get them all out and have a good play, and see if they still make you happy. If they do, then keep them, or bung them back in the loft for another 20 years for your kids to inherit. If you feel you've outgrown them, then yeah, I'd sell them. I still love my toys just as much now at 34!

We're all waiting with fingers crossed to see if our Z Force radio operator makes it home in one [mangled] piece.

Where are my manners? Welcome to the forum!

Thanks for the welcome Baron!

I do have an ace in the hole, my 4 year old son, so i could pass them onto him. He`s already got my lego (although i prob play with it more!)

Trying to remember what there is, definetly lots of 1st, 2nd & 3rd generation figures, Hovercraft, Roboskull, Sealion and possibly a Skystriker (although that may have been wishfull thinking, always wanted one!)

PS Age 35 by the way!

Yep, been to Johnnys site, the Hurricane is my all time favourite plane, hence the name! Also Charleys War, but going off topic now!

Ok, i've raided my dads attic and there is a good smattering of AF gear up there, which brings me onto my next question. I've used ebay to sell stuff in the past, but after reading through the posts i don't really want to sell to a shop or anyone who will sell on for a profit.

I'd much rather pass on / sell some of the bits i have to genuine collectors on this forum so i know it's going to a good home (sounds daft, i know, but my men deserve a good home!)

Will be looking to you guys to lead on price as really don't know what bits go for.

So any advice you may have would be cool, because i don't really think i have the time or space to start collecting full time and all the comics are on line so i can visit anytime!

I will compile a list, from reading the boards though i do have the following that i think are semi rare:
2 x yellow space commander hats
2 x blue space force "uzi" machine guns (think they are space force)
1 x Kraken Tri Laser
1 x Kraken Net
1 x Yellow / Black Lifebelt

plus more backpacks, scuba gear, figures and vehicles!

Long post, will get the full list up soon!

If you check our Wants section, both Zakkfan and Tired Fighter are after Roboskull bits.
