Battle Storm Force January 1988

Post by Fozzie »

Assuming anyone out there reads this bit, this is a bit of a stretch, but I've been trying to collect the remaining Storm Force stories that weren't scanned to this site, and I'm three issues short.

I'm looking for reasonable copies of three of the last four issues of Battle with Storm Force, dates 2/1/88, 16/1/88, 23/1/88 - quality not too much of an issue, as long as the Storm Force material is intact. At the moment, the only copies I know are US-based, with rather heavy shipping costs.

Anybody out there kept this bit of their childhood?

Looks like I might have them to scan if that helps.

A scan of the three issues would be massively gratefully received. I'm really just looking for the K-Squad issues in scanned form, I have pretty much everything else right to the end of the Eagle run.

I'm genuinely amazed to receive an answer. I thought nobody hung around here any more. Just as I've come back to it (I'm even in the process of trying to put a blog together), Action Force has rather vanished as a thing.

Happy to help on such a great project and will keep you posted of my progress.

Facebook has superseded forums to be the place to hang out, in my experience of still running an old forum. There are loads of FB Action Force/GI Joe groups with activity though, as its also now replaced eBay to buy and sell items, as only pay fees for Pay Pal Good & Services. Eventually as you get to know and trust the group, you can send via PayPal Friends & Family with no fees, or protection. However, I personally find forums to still be a fantastic archive. Certainly every new FB AF group member is referred straight here and very much appreciates it.

Thanks.

Sadly I don't 'do' Facebook to I don't really see much of these things. I am always about six months behind the trends...

Just to clarify one thing (and hopefully save some work), I only 'need' the Storm Force stories.

You are a gentleman. Is there any remuneration that I can offer?

No but just the kind offer to is more than enough to help a true fan, thanks though. Remember that I was kindly given them all for free awhile back by member Diamond, so happy to pass on the good karma.

Have enjoyed digging the complete collection out again and re-appreciating them. Looking forward to the scanning.

All done to the best of my ability but annoyingly the comics are larger than my A4 photocopier, so had to scan the overlap and rejoin back to original, especially the centre double spread picture pages. Hope its acceptable.
