How long have you been collecting

Post by louie0316 »

Just a quick question to throw out there

How long have you been collecting moc mib?

How many moc /mib do you own

Just to see roughly how much kit is out there locked away
In private collections

I've been collecting on and off off mostly for 8 years

I have 49 different moc not variants and

35 vehicles and oversized figures again not including variants windows/boxed
Take a seat

I don't specifically collect MOC, down here it is pretty hard to find. I have a few pieces, and I've been collecting since 1983. I started as an adult about 10 years ago and have a near complete series 1-3 collection. And VAM and SW..... :-)

I don't know how many MOC pieces I own, a few.

I only have 4 or 5 carded pieces in my collection but I've only been collecting moc a few months. I'm not aiming to get the full set though, just a few select pieces.

About 7 or 8 years. Not seriously at first as cash was tighter than it is now (for the moment possibly) and I didn't have as much loose stuff and that was always my focus.

Sold everything boxed or carded a few years ago and been buying again for 2ish years. Now ive most loose stuff I want boxed and carded items are more of a focus.

I started collecting in march 2016, 10 yrs after selling everything. I have 63 MISB or unsed MIB items, 126 MOC carded figures.. trying to get every figure/vehicle in every box or card, so still a long way to go

9 years, TSATT Wellenjet my favourite. Will count them as I pack them up to make room for my models! Loads of MOC figures.

Before I'm inundated with will I sell the Wellenjet messages, I would as long as bids started at £5000. That's not a typo ;)
When confronted by a difficult problem you can solve it more easily by reducing it to the question. How would the Lone Ranger handle this?

I think about 3-4 years or so. Trying to get every vehicle that is a Gi Joe repaint or that includes a repainted figure.
I have now 11 or 12 boxes. (sealed contents).
I do have almost every repainted figure sealed in bubble or bag.

I also started collecting Series 1 & 2 back in march 2016 (after getting my older bro Cpt Campbell as a birthday present, since we lost him in a stream as kids). Collection is mainly loose, with a few tatty boxes and fair carded examples of some old favourites. Have acquired loads of loose Series 3 along the way, that came in some large job lots, so hoping to sell on the Series 3 vehicles and complete figures with their backing cards but nothing is MOC.

Then blew some on classic Action Man SAS, Para and Ground Assault favourites, along with some Star Wars Hoth. I blame hitting 40 and often tell the wife it's cheaper than getting a Porsche and younger girlfriend! (but only just, hehe)

(Ultimate aim is to complete the collection and also make an Action Force Mod for Warhammer Dark Omen RTS old pc game and maybe Armed Assault 3)

:)
