First, we see the shadow of the Black Major on the cover of the comic...
Next, we watch as Bombstrike outwits the Red Shadows that have captured her. As she attempts escape, she is discovered by a lone Red Shadow trooper with a gun... (Note: Hama's Shads are a lot less brainwashed and more prone to expressive actions and talk than the Action Force versions - e.g., one kicks a rat because he is frustrated that Bombstrike escaped...)
Last - and most impressive - in the letters page, Hama was asked if he will ever use Baron Ironblood. He said: "I think I need to flesh out the more recent additions to the continuity a bit more before I start feeding in more characters - but Baron Ironblood certainly is a good suggestion."
Sweet! Maybe it won't be too long before we see the evil Baron again!!!

G.I. Joe RAH #231 - Baron Ironblood???

IT WAS AT THAT POINT THAT PRIVATE JENSEN UNDERSTOOD WHY THEY NEEDED A SECRET CODE-WORD BEFORE OPENING THE FRONT DOOR...

It does seem that every single GI Joe fan in the world has read the BFTB archives except for Larry Hama... The 'mockney' makes me cringe.
I actually preferred the DDP Shads. Such a shame Larry wasn't given a proper introduction to the range when the chance was there.

Eh. It's been 20 years and the Black Major is now in charge. Perhaps he doesn't use brain-washing, like the Baron did. Maybe when the Baron returns, he'll whip the organization back into shape! The Baron wrote:It does seem that every single GI Joe fan in the world has read the BFTB archives except for Larry Hama...
