Newb from Stone, Staffordshire.
Hi Guys,
My names James, from Stone in Staffordshire. I'm 36 and have been collecting for the last couple of years. I got back into collecting through my cousin and his Star Wars collection.
I started my collecting with vintage Star Wars and enjoyed this loads but had the thought, 'this is great but i loved my Action Force loads more growing up'.
I bought that rare and ever elusive 'MOC Muton' from the BP Toy Fair at the NEC for £5.00 (i know, I've been done there!!) and the bug bit hard!!!! Standing there with that Carded Muton in my hands I was immediately 5 years old again shopping with my Nan in Bawtry market !!!! She always used to buy me an Action force figure. I don't remember there being any of the early stuff (German Stormtrooper etc) about (must have been 1985/86) but I used to get loads of Red Shadows and SAS stuff.
I'm concentrating my collecting on carded and loose figures but seem to keep buying bloody vehicles, i don't have the space but just can't help it!! I currently have a serious acrylic case shortage and spend an unhealthy amount of time wondering about shelving and display options.
I stood at the BP fair in Donnington yesterday for ages holding then putting down then picking up again a slightly yellowed AF Carded Storm shadow (£180.00) but in the end bottled it as i was a) unsure if this was about right price wise b) if i'd regret not trying to find a minty one and c) through fear of my wife castrating me at the £180.00 (joint bank account / no hiding)
Anyway, will get some pics of my collection up asap. but look forward to shooting the breeze on here. will be going to RORC 2015 for the 1st time as well. Looking forward to it.
Cheers,
J

Welcome aboard
Good to see another
fan to the site & looking forward to meeting you @ R.O.R.C.
£5's a good price for a M.O.C. Muton, I've seem them listed on ebay for less but the postage costs even out any cost difference.
Donnington's a great toy fair there's usually a whole stall full of Action Force & G.I.Joe stuff that's run by a pair of brothers who are life long Joe fans & are great guys to chat with.

G'day mate, don't worry, I get castrated regularly. Why, just last month......... I think it goes with the obsession.
Let me tell you, Gunner La-De-Dah Graham, the British Army can fight anything! Intimate or not!

Hello and welcome. Look forward to seeing the pictures of your collection.
When confronted by a difficult problem you can solve it more easily by reducing it to the question. How would the Lone Ranger handle this?

Welcome James!
That's a lovely collection you've got there, looks like you're heading for a full set of series 2 MOC.. Are you looking to collect series 1 & 3 as well?
Muton is looking minty too.
