The Baron Returns

Post by The Baron »

Hey everyone,

First of all I must apologise for the absence, delays and unanswered messages, my life has been quite dreadful of late; moving house, a nasty break-up and a death in the family are just the highlights. I simply haven’t been able to cope.

Unfortunately this means that I have not had the opportunity to finish the Palitoy Collectors Guide, for which I feel terrible. At this point it’s looking more like New Year before it will be available. I do hope that people are OK with the delay, but if you have made a pre-order and would like to be refunded, I will of course honour the request.

The good news is that it is only one week until the mighty Roll Out Roll Call convention in Southampton! Hosted at the Jurys Inn on October 12th and 13th, the event promises to be an unmissable spectacular! Special guests include the Godfather of all thing Action Force; Bob Brechin! There will also be exclusives, special events, presentations, competitions and contests! You really don’t want to miss this, check http://www.rolloutrollcall.com for full details and ticket booking.

I will be there and the BFTB exclusive Skeletron figure will be available for purchase! The figure is prices at £25, with a maximum of two per customer as only 100 have been made. Existing pre-orders can be collected from me at the BFTB stall.

I will also have these awesome posters available! There are two designs; the Palitoy figure poster which features all of the 100 figures released under the Action Force banner and the Battle Action Force covers poster, which features all 180 comics, mini-comic promos, holiday specials and annuals – a perfect addition to the forthcoming Collectors Guide!

The A1 posters are £15.00 each, the A2 posters are £12.50 and the A3 are £10.00. I have to say that the resolution is best on the A3 versions, but they all look cool! If you are interested in purchasing any of these, please could you let me know ASAP so I have a rough idea of how many to pre-order? For those not attending the convention, the posters will be made available through the BFTB forum after the event.

In other news, Tuesday the 8th of October marks the 30th Anniversary of Battle Action Force. As a one-off exclusive I have put together a set of printed editions. Ten 250-page black and white volumes, containing the complete Battle Action Force comics collection. The strips are presented in the original running order. Please note that these will not be available at the convention and are an exclusive only for BFTB forum members. As ever, this is a non-profit endeavour, so these will be sold at cost. A full set will be £100 plus P&P, but please do not ask to purchase individual volumes.

Again, my apologies for the delays, normal service will be resumed over the coming weeks.

Jim.

Love those posters! I'd like an A3 one after RORC4 please (cos I'm not going, sob sob). Keen on the complete BAF set too but it depends on funds.

Thank you, Rene.

I've improved the covers - the blue was too light and I have added the 30th Anniversary '8th October 2013' logo.

Welcome back! To your own forum!

That's like me sitting in your front room when you come in your own house saying "welcome home".
