Z force "Dragonfly"

Post by navy viper »

This is been done on here several times over, so this is just my variant so to speak . nothing special here, just a STREET FIGHTER dragonfly with some dragonfly stickers 7 some other stickers purchased here in the store. The union flag was purchased from Cobrastickers.com. I thought the "ROYAL AIR FORCE" would add a nice touch of realism to the project. when inspiration hit ma at a Hobby store, I grabbed these alphabet letters up thinking they were stickers - however they were dry transfers & very difficult to apply evenly or at all for that matter ! Obviously the skids & weapons came from a Dragonfly & the rotor came from the tiger fly- hope you enjoy

Nice Damon! I've got a couple of Heli Fighters lined up for the same treatment, just need another cannon.

Thanks Jon , I had planned on doing a camo pattern to match (some what) the AF5, but I have a problem painting toys & I got tired of waiting for the correct cannon for this one. I think theres a MIB street fighter dragonfly on the bay in the U.S. for $65 & a BUY IT NOW of $85 + shipping it comes with most of the street fighter vehicles. heres a link. if I wasn't being so lazy & WAS working the O/T I would do the buy it now on this auction !!

I'm with you on painting mate, I'm ready to give-up. I use Humbrol Enamels, I've got all the gear and my technique is good but its the quality of the paint I have problems with. From dust to the paint not drying flat being my biggest problem. I've found a UK distributor for Testors which I'm going to try but this will be my last attempt.

Thanks Krakers but the cannon I'm looking for is from the Locust so its in black to match my Tiger Fly skids.

Looks great, the green colour looks perfect match for :zforce: green :perfectten:

I'd probably suggest some red parts, like maybe say, for the missiles or the guns just to keep in with the other :zforce: vehicles.
More news, as its made, from new Action Force!

I was going to get some tiger fly missiles for it, but they are not cheap or easy to find (when I take the time to look) But yes you are correct , it does need some red to go with it

Doesn't the Heli-Fighter come with red missiles?

Pretty close to a spot on match, good job. On painting vehicles, if I can't spray it, I don't bother. Too many cock ups.
Let me tell you, Gunner La-De-Dah Graham, the British Army can fight anything! Intimate or not!
