Talk Talk Bellends!!!

Post by wolforrest »

I am finding it hard to get on here lately due to making the school boy error of switching from BT to Talk Talk. We were suppose to go live on 1st of March yet here I am with no phone line and no Broad band!

Hopefully business as usual will be resumed when I can speak with someone who is not in Thailand and can understand what I am saying :(
Not here for a long time, just here for a good time.

I was on tiscalli for years which was great but then it was bought by talk talk and it was a nightmare had it for 4 months before I said sod it. I had to get a mac code twice as the first didn't work so had to wait another month for the first to expire been with o2 ever since which is now being bought by sky.
I hope I don't have same probs with this switch over.

Yeah it is a nightmare, BT have switched everything off and now we are living in the dark ages. Things are looking so bleak that I may have to start talking with the Mrs soon!

I was with Tiscali and now Talk Talk and its been fine. The only thing that held it up for me was that BT took ages to do the work they are contracted to do by Talk Talk. You may find that its actually BT holding things up. I've only ever spoke to a UK call centre with Talk Talk. A little dodge with foreign call centres is to ask to talk to a Welsh speaker. They will transfer you back to the UK then just explain to the agent that you're not actually a Welsh speaker but tired of foreign call centre's. You'll usually find them sympathetic and they will help you.

I've found them to be fine, they took over Tiscali, lowered my bill and increased my connection speed so I can't really complain.

Maybe they just recognize who to treat with respect? :sly:

 You are probably right OBD,
This is what I wrote at the time on here: http://www.maccode.org.uk/switch/tiscal ... stcode=bb1 3bw&phone=

Tintin(26/10/2010 19:02:56)
I asked for a mac code at the end of August from Tiscali which is now Talk Talk as they decided to double my payment from £7.50pm to £14.99 and change the date of my payment from the !st of the month to anytime after the 20th which was no good for me, I was sent to the retentions who said they could get it down to £9.99 but it will still come out whenever they feel like it. I went with o2 instead for £8.00pm. If tiscali would have left it how it was or charged the £9.99 rather than messing me around I would probably had stayed with them. I did have to ask for another mac code too as the first didn't work so be aware they may give out false ones in the hope that you decide it isn't worth the hassle contacting them for another and when asking for the other mention you will inform ofcom should it not work again.

You didn't need to put a postcode in before to get the feedback but if anyone wants to google it it will take you to Stanley st in Blackburn :-P
