Re: Glue
It's a hard one but I use loctite in small amounts, without an accelerator (That will always turn yellow) Not really had many problems with it. One thing I will say is that an old brake seems to have real problems setting rather than a fresh one. (Does that make sense?

Re: Glue
I think there was an old thread about this but I can't remember what the consensus was!
Re: Glue
Araldite, but it's a wanker to use.

Re: Glue
A few option I've learned from plastic modelling
Future floor polish(krystal klear is what I think it's called in the UK)
here's an interesting article on the many uses of future floor polish
http://gator896.hostgator.com/~sabc/how ... att_01.htm
if you use future as glue for clear parts, just take a paint brush and dip it in the future, then paint the contact points with the future.
Another option is epoxy, which can slightly yellow over time, but if you use just the slightest bit, that shouldn't be an issue

Re: Glue
Bugger. I have this cheap knock off super glue from Coles (supermarket chain). It sticks like sh*t to a boarding house blanket. Used liberally is quite hard to see, even stuck my Skystrikers undergear back together with it and its still holding. Might be worth trying ye old superglue.
Let me tell you, Gunner La-De-Dah Graham, the British Army can fight anything! Intimate or not!
Re: Glue
There is now a dry in 30 seconds araldite too. HAve used it and it does what it says on the tin.
When confronted by a difficult problem you can solve it more easily by reducing it to the question. How would the Lone Ranger handle this?
