Accessory rarities

Post by Thundershot »

Hi gang.

I've been wondering which, in everyone's personal experience, are (were or have been) the hardest :AFLogo: figure accessories to find?

For me it was finding :german: Hand Grenades, Pistols (either colour) & any of :Aussie:'s kit.

Cheers

T'shot

Agreed! Especially on the grease gun! Think I'm still missing it now! I'm not as hot with the loose stuff as my focus was always originally on the moc.

Pistols for me but that may be more due to me bidding on more stuff rather than looking for bits to complete stuff i already have.

:scout: mines. They rarely turn up in mixed lots of accessories, whereas I do seem to have turned up some pistols that way (perhaps I'm just lucky).

Agree that :Aussie: hat is hard to find and I think most machettes are also a pain to get hold of. The controllers for Dart, Shaft and Lance have proved a pain, but I got there in the end with these. I don't think I've ever had a spare :german: grenade amongst an accessory lot and, again I was lucky, my childhood one still had his grenades, spade and gun when I re-discovered all my stuff in the loft.

What I need now is a Junkyard lead for a custom, but not made a concerted effort to get one.

Years ago now I got a mixed lot with three spare Aussie Jungle Fighter hats in! I ebayed them and for the first two got about £15 each! Crazy thing is the whole lot only cost about £20! That was back in the days of eBay being remotely usable though and me having time to zoom in on pictures and (sometimes) take a punt!

My original Sparrowhawk came with a grey ammo box, detonator and machete. I lost the grey machete back in the day and have never seen another one since.

:beaver: 's paddle's a hard one too find too & I've yet to find :german:'s rifle without a light blue stress mark on the muzzle.

Considering how common :shadow: 's are (despite Johnny was-his-name's best efforts @ hoovering 'em all up) thier black AMMO boxes are surprisingly hard to come by...even more so if you consider all the other figures who were issued with 'em too.

I often think, considering how relatively inexpensive they seem be on ebay, it must be cheaper buying a MOC :chopper: to open than trying to complete a loose one
