Cosplay: Red Shadow helmet

Post by Baron Eisenblut »

Hi - there are Red Shadow costumes online, but no helmets.

Does anyone have any idea as to how you'd do a Red Shadow helmet?

Cutting your lower jaw off would be a good start.

I have a lifesize moulded RS helmet but it cant be worn, where have you seen the red shadow costumes please?

Pit Viper Studios were planning one, I've not heard anything for a while.

Very carefully around the jawline. :baron: probably had integrated their chins integrated into the lower part of the helmet, like real Anakin when he got served by sonny-jim.

Only way would be create something that flared out like a plastic collar at least at the front, like those things dogs and cats have to wear if recovering from head or ear surgery.

Ah man those things are so funny looking, I have to stop myself laughing out loud every time I deliver to a vets :-D

A few weeks ago, whilst driving the van @ work, in the distance I thought I saw a Nun in the passenger seat of a car traveling towards me...as the car got closer I realised it was, in fact, a large Poodle in one of those upturned lampshade like contraptions

well could start with a replica ww2 german army helmet [steel or plastic, which ever you prefer] as if you look at the shadows their uniforms and equipment are ww2 german items.the only difference to the helmet ,that i can see, would be the face plate and the "box" on the back, hope that helps somewhat...sorry i cant be of more help as my prop building skills are useless

Aye, if your brave enough, you could easily dye a replica W.W.II :german: uniform red.
Equipment wise (Y Webbing, Gas Mask Tin etc) are all standard colours so wouldn't need any adaptation @ all.

I always preferred those raggedly looking helmet-less :shadow:'s who featured in the later :af: stories anyway.

Oh they're made to measure! Being a foxtrot bravo that's uber important ;)
When confronted by a difficult problem you can solve it more easily by reducing it to the question. How would the Lone Ranger handle this?
