I can understand them seeing Fansproject style Transformers stuff being an issue, but most 3rd party A.F./Joe stuff could be a slippery thing to pin down. Quite a few companies make 1/18 scale military stuff. As long as it isn't ridiculously obvious plagiarism, like super ninja commando 'Serpent Eyes' versus 'Tsunami Shadow' they can't really police it so easily. Surely an artist doing a single sketch of a character is free of copyright issues, isn't it? If the dude makes 500 prints of it, then they could get their undies bunched, but one sketch? That's kinda over the top.

Good call on the Walther P38, DH!

Robert Atkins wasn't overly thrilled as he said he does commissions to help regain some money he spends to go to conventions. He also said for people like him this move would make redundant their reasons for going.
Spock, where the hell's the power you promised?

This move is just gonna wipe the floors clean of anyone who is not a seller. Robert Atkins, Andrew Wildman, we wouldn't have been able to get Larry Hama sketches! What's the point? It's just going to alienate the people that are intrinsic to making the brand great. If Robert Atkins can't sell artwork at the show, he'll soon get pissed off with drawing the artwork for IDW.
