Hey guys! I just bought this Action Force carded Destro. This one is different though. It contains no weapons or accessories. It only has a single plastic bubble which holds the figure itself. The cardversion is the same as the "normal" UK release, but it doesn't have the circular "New Action - Jointed Figure" sticker covering the Italian language white lower box on the front. The back is all in English and exactly like th normal UK cardback.
I also have one of these which has a Red Shadows, but the cardback is for Destro.
I've heard that in Germany, they removed the weapons from the artwork on Gijoe packaging. Is this the same type of situtation? I also know that in the Neatherlands, that two different versions of AF figures were released; with and without weapons/accessories. I had read that the reason was to offer a less expensive toy (figure without the weapons/accessories).
I'm sure you guys know the story behind this! Any ideas? Thanks.
Here's a picture of the Destro:
