I actually enjoyed the Movie for what it was-total action from start to finish & a updated version with a few twists in the plot.I only hope that the sequels take the story to a new level & doesn't destroy a toyline which I've enjoyed for a good long time.

I can think of at least 5 movies from last year that were way better than G.I. Joe but it was certainly the funniest film I saw last year!

Watched it last weekend with the young 'un.

Dire underlying plot, great action sequences, great banter and lovely visuals.

I think that's an away win.

I kinda liked the movie, not the best I seen but not the worst. Its worth seeing a 2nd time on DVD so its a good movie. I went to see it at the movie theaters, last time I went to the theaters was around 1999 so I was shocked at the price. I like the ending the best and think the next movie will please more fans.

watched it and bought it on dvd, it wasnt great and it wasnt horrible, I for some reason have watched it like 6 times already and want to watch it more despite me not being thrilled with it.

I know TF fans might stone me for saying this but man do I wish Michael Bay would do GI JOE LOL TF 1 and 2 were awesome, I loved it and Id like to see Michael Bay do GI JOE. The GI JOE movie could have been so much better IMVHO

some of the CGI shots of the aircraft flying over the desert sans to the pit look aweful for a movie, maybe a video game but for a movie, it was bad bad bad.

they need to drop the power suits too.

the nonomites being in green sauce was bad too

I fully agree that this movie is a lot of pish, but to call it a c*ck up or mistake is not true. It is a pretty decent action movie that fits today's time. We live today and today's kids don't want an eighties atmosphere, they want a hailstorm of over the top CGI effects and Dragon Ball Z super hero crap. That calls for a new type of Joe, a Joe we (old geezers) can hardly identify ourselfves with.

In the eighties old geezers were complaining that our heroes looked nothing like John Wayne no more. So, like I wrote on top, it's history repeating.
Finally. Someone else said it. I've been making that comment for a while on adctalk.com. The look the went for could've been better, but it's not horrible.
(Also, we DO see people wearing camouflage in the movie. Just not when they're out in battle.)
Also, I think history is repeating itself in another way that due to current events, war toys aren't as popular as they used to be. Therefore, Hasbro and the movie team probably felt GI Joe needed to seem less like a realistic war time of series. This is how the Adventure Team came to be.

Brother in law bought me the DVD for my birthday. Can't wait to watch it again and see if it's as good / bad as I remember.

I pretty much gave up on Action Force when I found out that after the Shads turned to Cobra, all the U.K. bios/ histories were rewritten.

I went into the movie with no expectations (admittedly, I watched a bootleg copy first :-) ), but I really liked it.

Just checkling, have you read the BAF strips where the renegade Red Shadows return?
