paul463, I've been collecting action figures since 1982. I bought almost all of my US stuff as it was released. (But I did have to play catch up later on a variety of variations that I had not known about at the time...)

I started collecting international figures and vehicles in 2000. I had NO idea how much stuff was out there!!! If I had known, I don't think I would have ever begun... But I am also kind of glad that I didn't know, 'cause I have really grown to love them!

Thundershot, I agree with you completely: it's sad to see the passing of the variety of packaging that used to exist! That's really my main collecting focus right now, to try to pull together older packaging from all over the world - and then share it with everyone. It's been a long road.... slowly but surely, I am getting there (sort of

It's a real treat to know that so many other collectors care about this stuff, too!!!!

Thanks for the fantastic photo's, I'm loving this thread..it's great to see people like yourself & indeed all the other guys here helping to preserve a little bit of our toy history like this.
Do you have a cut off date or certain years you focus your collection on?
For example, with the odd exception, I don't really have any thing beyond 1991-1992 wise, or with Actionman I've tried to stick with items from around the time of my childhood, & not the earlier or modern era range.
