I just got a moc action force figure and the seller charged £10 for postage and when i recieved it the postage was less than £3 and it was in a reused envelope.

That's not on. I'd complain. If he refuses to be reasonable leave him a neutral feedback (Negative is harsh as he did complete his transaction).

I'd agree with Baron on that one - £10 is just profiteering! I've just won an auction for a HAWK and Blades, where the postage was stated as £4.50. Now, I know full well when it arrives that the postage will likely be far less than that, but I think it put others off bidding, so I snatched it for about £5 plus the postage - total of around a tenner, so bargain really, and I shall take the postage costs on the chin as I was aware of them when bidding. But £10 is taking the piss!

Well I can understand adding a quid or two for the ebay and paypal fees, depending upon the size of the transaction. When you're a private seller clearing out your attic those things can swallow a large chunk, I also have no objection to recycling envelopes, I do it all the time. Those things are fair game, but £5 pure profit on a single figure is just taking the piss.

Even if the amount of postage is unreasonable, if somebody states it clearly beforehand, I don't see a problem. The problem is that quite a few sellers not state anything and try to make an extra quid by charging 'a little' extra. That's why I always ask how much p&p will be before hand.

Yeah, that's true. I guess you can only really complain afterwards if you paid for recorded delivery and it came by second class or somesuch.

Most of the gear I get is US or UK so if it doesn't have postage listed, I don't bother. I have better things to do than chase up pricing of something I may not win. Of course that rule gets chucked out if the item is worth spending mucho mulla on.
