yeah the only one near me still running is The Entertainer in Salisbury, which back in the day was a Toymaster. I got my Sealion and Hovercraft from there. Pretty much everywhere else has biten the dust.ODB wrote: it seems the Toy shops of my childhood have all gone.
Was this a TV ad? Dave, can I change my request?Ironblood wrote:I don't remember that advert for the toys but I remember one for Battle Action Force it had Quarrel featured in it who I thought was male back then but I was only about 6 or so at the time.
Doesn't ring any bells, but it's possible? I know there were occasionally co-operative advertising between Palitoy and Look In for example, but not aware of any with Action Force. The Baron wrote:Was this a TV ad? You boys talking in code again??Dave Tree wrote: Change your request? Ooooooooh go on then, the response hasn't been overwhelming, so may as well bump up the list
Or, (D) taken someone elses medication, and read the posts backwards. The Baron wrote:No, Steve. What's probably happened is that you've either a) not read the previous conversation or b) forgotten to take your medicataion and subsequently forgotten everything else or c) both.

Is membership worth the money? I've been thinking of becoming an Associate member, so I can benefit from group buying without taking on the Toymaster brand itself, but the fees are quite high and I don't know if what I save will be more than the fees. Do you know if the wholesale is a lot better than what was offered direct?
In terms of 'back in the day' toys then, everyone pick their favourite non-AF toyline, one each, and I'll try dig out some toy catalogue references for you. It will take a day or so with what I have to hand, but should be a good trip down memory lane for everyone.
(should probably get moved to Random now too)
Dave.
