I defonitly chose
because of the perceived value for money..those
seemed pretty expensive, when they first came out, &
seemed to have a much better/bigger accesory than the others available in the shop's selection @ the time, plus he also kinda reminded me a bit of Judge Dredd.
Every other Palitoy
I got were from the sales bins after Habro's
hit the shops.
I picked up a fair few because they were my fave' charecters featured in the Marvel comic reprints of the U.S stories...I spent an age looking for
to partner

I remember going to Bolton and buying Destro for my birthday I was torn between him and Buzzer but chose Destro because of his chromed battle mask and I actually used him as Red Jackal before I knew of the actual toy connection between the two.

I just remembered, my first GI Joe figure was the
Viper in 1986, a friend had moved to the US for a while and he brought me back the figure as a present. That was sound!

I had a pilot in blue jumpsuit with the orange stripes as my first action man I used to love the eagle eyes feature on him.

My first VAM was a Toltoys basic, then I got about 3 or 4 uniforms (front liners) and the Dukw. Because of the cost of the things I didn't get a lot more than that for a long time. Still had awesome fun with him though.

Let me tell you, Gunner La-De-Dah Graham, the British Army can fight anything! Intimate or not!
Re: What was your first AF/Gi joe figure?
It was VAM for me first then AF when they came along. My first figure was Skip.
When confronted by a difficult problem you can solve it more easily by reducing it to the question. How would the Lone Ranger handle this?
